Privacy

This policy covers the mobile apps published by Digital Brain, New Zealand.
The short version: everything you log in our apps stays on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. We record anonymous counts of which features were used, and nothing in those counts contains what you wrote. Where an app looks up the weather it sends an approximate location, and where an app offers a paid upgrade it records that you bought it. That is the whole list.
What our apps store — on your device only
Our apps are private diaries. Everything you enter — meals, symptoms, weight, fluids, sleep, medications and dose ticks, appointments, notes, cycle days, pain scores, and your settings — is saved in a local database on your phone.
None of it is uploaded anywhere. It is not synced to a server, not backed up by us, and not visible to us. Where an app imports data from Apple Health, that data is read into the same local database and is never transmitted. If your device backs up app data (for example through iCloud device backup), that backup is governed by Apple's privacy practices, not ours.
What we collect
What you log never leaves your phone. Three other things do:
Anonymous, content-free usage counts. Our apps record a small fixed set of events — that an entry was logged, that a report was exported, that a screen was opened, that an upgrade was bought — using PostHog. These never include what you wrote: no symptoms, pain scores, medication names, notes, cycle data, or readings of any kind. Only that the action happened. There is no account and no sign-up, so there is nothing to identify you with, and we never do.
An approximate location, only to look up the weather. Where an app uses weather or barometric pressure, and only once you switch that feature on, it sends a coarse location — rounded to roughly one kilometre — to the Open-Meteo weather service. It is sent with no name, account, or identifier attached, and we do not store it on any server of ours. If you never turn the feature on, no location is ever used or sent.
Your purchase record. Where an app offers a paid upgrade, Apple takes the payment and RevenueCat records the purchase so the app knows it is active and can restore it on a new device. It is attached to an anonymous identifier, not to your name or email. We never receive your payment details.
Our apps contain no advertising, no ad networks, no third-party trackers, and no data brokers. Nothing is used to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Reminders
Reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely by your phone. Their content never names a condition or symptoms, so nothing sensitive shows on your lock screen.
Sharing and export
You can generate a PDF summary and share it using your phone's share sheet. That sharing happens on your terms, through the apps you choose — we are not part of it and never receive a copy.
Your control
- Edit or delete any entry, any time.
- Erase everything with the in-app data wipe (Settings).
- Where an app uses your location for weather, turning that feature off stops all location use.
- Deleting an app deletes all of its data from your device.
Because the things you log never reach us, privacy-law rights like access, correction, and erasure (under the NZ Privacy Act 2020, GDPR, CCPA, and similar) are entirely in your hands — there is nothing held by us to request. Children
Our apps are made for adults and are not directed at children under 13.
What our apps are
Our apps record and display what you log. They do not give medical or veterinary advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations, and they never suggest a medication or a dose — any protocol in an app is the one you or your clinician entered. Decisions about health belong with you and your clinicians.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of an app adds a feature that sends something new, we will update this policy before that feature ships and say plainly what is sent, where, and why. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
